The POWERMAG is a compact, self-aligning shearlock which is ideal for doors which do not always rest at the same position due to inferior door closers etc.
The construction of the POWERMAG makes it suitable for narrow style aluminium and wooden doors - only 25mm wide and utilising it's patented self-aligning steel bars, a holding force of 800kg in the shear position is available.
The standard mounting method is flush, which enhances the security of the unit and does not alter the aesthetics of the door and it's surroundings. An optional stainless steel surface housing is available to increase the flexibility of the unit.
For units mounted vertically in the centre of the door, a surface housing with a pull handle is available.
Operating at 12 or 24Vdc, the shearlock operates like a magnetic lock, which means there is no initial in-rush of current normally experienced with shearlocks - a 1A power supply is sufficient to power a CSL30 at 12Vdc, which consumes a constant 600mA.
Monitoring is standard, a changeover relay signals that power is applied and the lock is bonded.
A varistor is built in to the electronics, which eliminates back EMF and protects sensitive controlling devices such as keypads and access control units.
