General Information

About – The universal reader is suitable to use with most access control systems that accept a clock and data input, as well as PAC controllers that use a single signal wire. The reader is supplied with a choice of black or white fascias. Additional fascia colours are available if required. Installation – The reader is wired as shown in the installation instructions. The cable exits centrally from the back of the reader making drilling and mounting very accurate. Operation – A token is read by holding it within close proximity of the reader. Once a token has been read the card data is sent to the control unit and depending on the wiring configuration the red, green or amber LEDs can be used to indicate valid or invalid cards.
