The 5th Generation Subscribers Terminal Unit (5G STU) is a communicator for signalling alarm signals between a protected premises and an alarm receiving centre (ARC). The 5G STU uses the extremely reliable BT Redcare network to convey the messages over a BT Redcare enabled BT analogue PSTN line.
